On Monday, Zimbabwe defeated Rwanda by a score of 144 runs.

Zimbabwe’s hopes of qualifying for the T20 World Cup were dashed after a devastating defeat to Uganda, but they produced a strong performance against Rwanda to keep their prospects alive.

With a spectacular performance, Zimbabwe’s seasoned all-rounder Raza spearheaded the charge.

His 58-run knock included six fours and four sixes. Tadiwanashe Marumani, his partner on the other end, matched Raza and added 50 off 31 balls with three fours and three sixes.

In the death overs, Zimbabwe reached 215/4 because to quick contributions from Ryan Burl (44 not out from 21) and Luke Jongwe (17 not out from 4).

Raza maintained his spectacular form and caused significant damage with the ball. His efforts assured that the Rwanda chase could never spread its wings from the start. While Richard Ngrava (3/11) and Blessing Muzarabani (1/10) dealt the early damage, Ryan Burl (2/7) delivered a clinical spell to the middle-order.

Raza came in and finished the game for Zimbabwe once more. He finished the game with a tally of 3/3 after a hat-trick in the 19th over.
