Germany will be competing for their first title, while France will be aiming for their second crown.

It’s interesting to note that the two teams previously faced off in the European U17 Championship final, where the Germans prevailed in Budapest following an intense penalty shootout. That was six months ago.
However, Germany has only made it to the final once in the first-ever 1985 U17 World Cup. They have never won the competition. In 2001, however, France took home the much-coveted title.FIFA
In the current campaign, Christian Wuck’s Germany team has been an offensive machine. They eliminated Spain and the United States in the quarterfinals and round of sixteen, respectively, after finishing first in Group F with three victories out of three.
They faced Argentina in the semifinals, and despite a hat-trick from Agustin Ruberto, the Germans held strong to win the match via shootout. With the exception of their 1-0 victory over Spain in the quarterfinals, Germany has scored three goals in each of their matches en route to the final.

In contrast, France’s outstanding defense has been the cornerstone of their run to the championship. The boys of Jean-Luc Vannuchi have only given up once in the competition. Ibrahim Diarra of Mali scored a goal against France in the semifinals to keep Les Bleus from winning all the games.
It will also be just the second all-European FIFA U17 World Cup final in history when the teams square off on Saturday. In 2017, England defeated Spain 5 to 1.
