FIFA U-17 World Cup: Golden Ball goes to Brunner

Agustin Ruberto of Argentina took up the adidas Golden Boot, while Paris Brunner of Germany won the adidas Golden Ball. Individual honors were also won by Paul Argney, Mathis Amougou, Hamadou Makalou, Claudio Echeverri, and Ibrahim Diarra.

In the Play-Off for Third Place, he had his breakthrough performance when he skillfully avoided two more tackles and scored an incredible goal to seal the win.

The No20 was the driving force for France’s last-ditch effort in Indonesia in 2023. In the tournament final versus Germany, he scored the game’s last goal to tie the score for the Europeans.

Ruberto, the forward, was substantially responsible for La Albiceleste’s journey to the semifinals. He scored eight goals in all, including a spectacular hat-trick against Germany in the semifinal, to tie Victor Osimhen’s record-breaking ten goals in the 2015 U-17 championships.

During the U-17 finals, Mali captain Diarra set an exemplary example. Nine of his team’s 18 goals during the tournament came from him, and he stood out in their victories over Morocco in the quarterfinals and Argentina in the Play-off for Third Place.

Claudio Echeverri led Argentina with five goals and two assists.

The captain of La Albiceleste lit up the quarterfinal encounter against Brazil, taking off with the match ball in a historic 3-0 victory. He had previously scored a fantastic free-kick against Japan and a nice goal against Venezuela.

France kept five consecutive clean sheets at the U-17 finals, with goalkeeper Argney the bedrock of the team’s success. In total, he conceded just three goals across the tournament, and saved two penalties in the shootout defeat to Germany.
