The five teams’ results

With offers of INR 2 Crore from the Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Giants, respectively, Australian all-rounder Annabel Sutherland and India’s uncapped speed prodigy Kashvee Gautam became the joint-highest earners in the WPL 2024 Player Auction.

Thirty seats were available for the five teams, with Giants (10) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (7) securing the maximum number of slots to rebuild following their elimination from the WPL in its first season

The other players to receive an eight-figure salary were Australia’s Phoebe Litchfield, uncapped India batswoman Vrinda Dinesh, and former South Africa pace star Shabnim Ismail. Scotland’s Kathryn Bryce, an all-around pacer, will be the only player representing an Associate nation in the forthcoming second league edition.
