Pakistan tour of Australia test Series

Australia will square off with Pakistan in the first Test of the three-match series from Thursday.

The current ICC World Test Championship (WTC) winners will open their debut home series in the 2023-25 WTC cycle against Pakistan, who will be looking for their first success in Australian conditions.

The Pat Cummins-led squad hopes to cap off a remarkable year of cricket with another emphatic victory against their Asian opponents. The tough Australians won the WTC title for the first time in England, defeating India.

Following the conclusion of the summer Ashes series, which concluded in a 2-2 tie, Australia is now ranked fifth in the standings, with a Percentage of Points (PCT) of 30%. Despite this, the Australians are determined to complete a clean sweep of Pakistan.

Pakistan, on the other hand, has only won four Tests in Australia since 1956 and has yet to win a series in front of the country’s adoring fans.

The opening Test of the three-match tour will be played at Perth’s Optus Stadium, as Pakistan attempts to make history under newly chosen captain Shan Masood.
