Kieron Pollard has been appointed England’s assistant coach for the Men’s T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the United States of America.

England’s assistant coach for the Men’s T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the United States of America is Kieron Pollard. The only goal of the one-off job is to “provide expertise of local conditions.”

In addition to playing for the West Indies in 101 Twenty20 Internationals, Pollard led the team that won the 2012 T20 World Cup. In 2022, he announced his retirement from international cricket; nonetheless, he continues to play in franchise leagues.

Recently, Pollard led the Trinbago Knight Riders to the CPL 2023 championship game and the New York Strikers to victory in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. He is the batting coach for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL and captain of MI Emirates in the ILT20.

Although they are the reigning champions, England is coming off a terrible ODI World Cup defense in India, where they lost six of their nine games and barely made it to the 2025 Champions Trophy.

The World Cup will take place in seven Caribbean and three American locations from June 4 to June 30.
