The Sharjah Cricket Stadium will host the UAE vs. Afghanistan 2023–24 matches, three Twenty20 Internationals, and two 50-over practice matches starting on December 25.
Beginning on December 25, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) cricket team will play three Twenty20 internationals and two 50-over warm-up matches against Afghanistan.
December 25 is the scheduled date of the first practice match between the UAE and Afghanistan (ODIs), while December 27 is the date of the second. Three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) will take place on December 29, 31, and January 2 after the two warm-up games.
The historic Sharjah Cricket Stadium will serve as the host site for every game in the UAE vs. Afghanistan 2023-24 series.
Afghanistan’s second trip of the United Arab Emirates in 2023 will be the forthcoming series. The visitors, under the direction of Rashid Khan, won the three-match T20I series 2-1 in Abu Dhabi in February.
Afghanistan and the Emirates Cricket Board agreed to play a series of three Twenty20 international matches per year last year. The arrangement includes the upcoming series.
The UAE, captained by Muhammad Waseem, will enter the series having suffered an eight-wicket defeat to Nepal in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier Final semifinal.
Conversely, Afghanistan, headed by Hashmatullah Shahidi, will have a lot of confidence following their strong performance in the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup in India.
