Australia overcame India 2-1 in the series thanks to a masterful 38-ball 55 from Alyssa Healy, who made her 150th T20I appearance.
In her 150th T20I match, Alyssa Healy struck for a robust 38 balls in order to secure Australia’s dramatic 2-1 series victory against India. At 10 overs, her early attack had Australia far ahead of the game, and fellow starter Beth Mooney, who struck her maiden fifty of the tour, completed the task. Australia lost the only Test match, but they went on to win the white-ball double this trip, chasing 148 with seven wickets and eight balls remaining.
India’s first-inning total of 147 for 6 was the highest in the three-match T20I series, but they still required more runs because the dew factor appeared to be important in the second innings. The batting boost came from Shafali Verma’s 26 at the top and Richa Ghosh‘s 34 at the finish, but in their respective four-wicket mandates, Annabel Sutherland’s 2 for 12 and Georgia Wareham’s 2 for 24 statistics ultimately proved to be very significant.
