2024.01.20
Yesterday (19), the second day of the first week of Sri Lanka Cricket’s National Super League four-day cricket event, the players were forced to postpone their performances owing to rain and bad weather.
Despite this, Team Colombo’s Nuvanindu Fernando struck a century, and Team Galle’s Udit Madhushan produced his finest first-class bowling performance today.
Aside from that, Nishan Madushka of Team Jaffna did well, hitting a half-century.
Today’s contest between Team Galle and Team Kandy at Suriyawewa Stadium in Hambantota lasted only 21 overs.
After the afternoon break, the game at Colombo’s SSC Stadium got underway. On that day, it will be restricted to 78 overs. But that match only saw 50 overs because of the rain and unfavorable weather.

Team Galle’s won the toss
After taking 6 wickets and scoring 339 runs on the first day of the match, the Team Kandy players added 26 runs to their batting today and lost the remaining 4 wickets. It just needed 40 balls to do this. They thus scored 365 runs in the opening frame.
