Sri Lanka secured a 2-1 series victory against Zimbabwe in the third Twenty20 International,They won by nine wickets.

After winning the match’s toss, Sri Lanka decided to field. Due to poor health, Charith Asalanka was removed from the team, denying Kusal Perera an opportunity.

To take their place, Dhananjaya de Silva and Kamindu Mendis were brought in. Zimbabwe lost the first wicket in their batting innings by a single run, but Brian Bennett gave his team a strong start.

He scored 29 runs off 12 balls, including 7 boundaries. However, his dismissal persisted, and the Zimbabwean squad began to stumble as wickets fell.

Zimbabwe lost three wickets for 52 runs at the conclusion of the Powerplay overs, followed by seven wickets for 30 runs. So, in 14.1 overs, Zimbabwe lost all of their wickets for 82 runs.

Wanindu Hasaranga bowled brilliantly, taking four wickets, while Mahish Theekshana and Angelo Mathevs grabbed two apiece.

Kusal Mendis and Pathum Nissanka got Sri Lanka off to a terrific start, and the team won easily, losing only one wicket in 10.5 overs.

Pathum Nissanka finished undefeated, scoring 39 runs off 23 balls, while Kusal Mendis scored 33 and Dhananjaya De Silva scored an unbeaten 15 runs.

Sri Lanka won by 9 wickets and clinched the series 2-1.
