Dialog National Netball Championship 2024

Yesterday (20) marked the opening of the 2024 Dialog Netball National Championship at the Wennappuwa Albert Peiris Stadium.

There were 26 teams who competed in the event this year, and they were divided into 8 divisions and went to the preliminary stage. The teams who placed first in each category advanced to the tournament’s quarterfinals, with the preliminary round matches taking place in a league format.

The groups who advanced to the semifinals;

the Hatton National Bank, the Port Authority, the Army, the Navy, the Air Force, the Army of Sri Lanka, the Kotalawala Defense University, and Kurunegala.

The semi-final results are as follows;

Sri Lanka Air Force and Sri Lanka Army Win – Air Force (25 – 08)

Sri Lanka Navy and Kurunegala Win – Navy (25 – 08)

Hatton National Bank and Defense Services University, Kotalawala Win – Hatton National Bank (31 – 07)

Port Authority and Kalutara Holy Family Convent Win – Port Authority (35 – 17)

The semi-finals of the tournament concluded the matches on the first day, and today (21) is the second day that the event will take place, with the semi-finals, the final, the third place selection match, and the closing ceremony.
