At the end of the second day of the first Test against England, KL Rahul’s aggressive half-century gave India a dominating lead. Rahul missed out on a well-earned second Test hundred at home and ninth overall.
Cricket fans descended upon the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in droves on a public holiday to watch twin half-centuries by India’s new No. 4 Rahul and later by Ravindra Jadeja as the team closed on 421/7 at stumps on Friday, replying to England’s 246 with a commanding lead of 175 runs.
