Rangana Herath, a former cricketer for Sri Lanka, has declined the invitation to rejoin Bangladeshi cricket.

Herath’s time as the spin coach for the Bangladesh cricket team came to an end last year. Then, in January of last year, Herath got an offer from BCB to rejoin Bangladesh Cricket.

However, Herath was not assigned the role of the team’s spin coach this time, and BCB intended to offer him a spin consultant post instead.

By doing this, they intended to assign Herath the duty of visiting Bangladesh for around 200 days a year, locating players of various age groups, and providing them with the required direction.

Herath had previously indicated that he was interested in this idea and that, after speaking with his attorneys, he was prepared to respond to it promptly.

But the Bangladesh Cricket Board said yesterday (03), that Herath had turned down this offer.

”Herat turned down our offer, hence he isn’t with us. He is no longer with us because of this.’Herat turned down our offer, hence he isn’t with us. He is no longer with us because of this.”

Jalal Yunus, the chairman of Bangladesh Cricket Operations, made this statement to the media following today’s committee meeting.

The majority of the management duties for the Bangladesh cricket team expired last year, and BCB is presently looking to fill those positions.
