Ushan Divanga Perera, a well-known gymnast from Sri Lanka, took first place in the high jump discipline at the Charlie Thomas Invitational indoor gymnastics tournament in America.
In the men’s high jump competition, Ushan Perera of Texas A&M University in the US state of America won with a height clearance of 2.20 meters, setting a new facility mark.
Ushan’s first competitive series of the year is this one.
Notably, in the men’s high jump in 2021, Ushan Divanga, 26, shattered the records from Sri Lanka and South Asia with a height of 2.30 meters, leading sports training in America in addition to higher education.
Likewise, in 2022, he cleared 2.27 meters to shatter the Sri Lankan record in indoor high jumping.
