Sri Lanka team selected against Afghanistan

A 16-player Sri Lankan team has been announced for the three-match one-day cricket tournaments against Afghanistan.

Kusal Mendis will head the chosen squad for this competition, which begins tomorrow (09) at Pallekele, Kandy.

However, former captain Dasun Shanaka, who played in the one-day series against Zimbabwe, has been dropped from the team, while Chamika Karunaratne, an all-rounder, has been added.

Meanwhile, experienced players Angelo Mathews, Dinesh Chandimal, and Dhananjaya de Silva, who missed the ODI series against Zimbabwe, have been excluded from the team.

The Sri Lanka squad chosen for the ODI series against Afghanistan is as follows
