The Sri Lanka team announced for T20 series against Afghanistan.

The 16-player Sri Lankan team for the three-match T20 series against Afghanistan has been revealed.

The team has been captained by Vanindu Hasaranga as per customary, with Charith Asalanka serving as vice captain.

Dushmantha Chameera was the first choice of the team, according to Sri Lanka Cricket, however his name was omitted from the list of players who took part in the T20 series with Zimbabwe this year. Binura Fernando has been called up to the squad in place of Chamira, though, since the latter is still recovering from an injury sustained during the first one-day encounter against Afghanistan.

This team also includes Angelo Mathews, Dhananjaya de Silva, Kusal Perera, and Dasun Shanaka, who were not selected for the ODI squad against Afghanistan.
