Afghanistan concluded their tour of Sri Lanka with a consoling victory, winning the third Twenty20 International match between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka by three runs.
Nonetheless, Sri Lanka prevailed 2-1 in the three-match T20I series.
Earlier in the Rangiri dambulu International Stadium encounter between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan, Afghanistan captain Ibrahim zadran chose to bat first after winning the toss.

In Sri Lanka’s batting innings, Kamindu Mendis, who remained undefeated till the very end, amassed 65 runs in 39 balls with two sixes and seven fours. Pathum Nissanga, who left the game in the middle owing to injury, scored 60 runs in 30 balls at the same time, with two sixes and eight fours.
Mohammad Nabi bowled for the Afghan squad, taking 2 wickets for 35 runs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz, an Afghan player, was named the game.
