Faf du Plessis, the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, struck the most maximums (36), and he also managed to smash the season’s longest six, measuring 115 meters.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2023 saw a record-breaking 1,124 sixes struck during the competition. This is only the second time in the 16-year history of the event that the 1000-sixes barrier has been broken.
Captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Faf du Plessis, topped the records the previous season with 36 maximums and also broke the record for the longest six of the year, reaching 115 meters.
Albie Morkel, a fellow South African, holds the record for the biggest six in IPL history, having blasted a 124-meter six in the competition’s first season in 2008.
