The current champions, England, have released their roster for the next multi-team T20 World Cup 2024, and Jos Buttler will continue to head the English team. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) made the news using its official X account.

Jofra Archer, a fast bowler, has returned to the England white-ball team as he gets ready to play competitive cricket again after missing almost a full year. Following his recovery from a right elbow injury that prevented him from competing since May 2023, Archer has been declared healthy.

The roster also features the return of all-rounder Chris Jordan, who replaces Chris Woakes. Jordan has earned a spot on the club because to his flexibility, particularly his ability to contribute at bat later in the order. Jordan’s recent success in the 2023 Vitality Blast has improved England’s possibilities.

England has also made the calculated decision to bring back players from the Indian Premier League (IPL) in advance of the Pakistan T20I series, which is set to start on May 22. Due to this decision, a number of elite cricket players will have to leave the IPL early and miss out on the playoffs. The English team will leave for the Caribbean on May 31 in order to prepare for their first group game on Wednesday, June 4, at the Kensington Oval in Barbados, against Scotland.
