Player costs have doubled for all categories of Sri Lankan international players, effective immediately, according to a statement released today by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).
As a result, 41 players will be given the opportunity to sign new contracts in six different categories: A1, A2, B2, C1, C2, and ‘A’ Team.
Merit-based fees apply to the test match.
Match fees for the Test format have increased by 100% as a result of the most recent increment; payments will be given based on merit.
Payment arrangements for a test match that is “won,” “drawn,” or “lost” will vary.
Match fees for T20I and ODIs
Meanwhile, match fees have increased by 25% for both Twenty20 and One Day Internationals.
ICC rankers will be acknowledged
Additionally, Sri Lanka Cricket made the decision to honor the players who rise to the top of the ICC Player Rankings.
In light of this, a player will receive a one-time payout as remuneration for being crowned the “Best Batsman, Best Bowler, or Best All-Rounder” according to ICC rankings for all formats.
A one-time reward will also be given to players who, in the interim, place between 10th and 2nd in the ICC rankings for the aforementioned categories.
Furthermore, all contractual players now receive improved daily allowances and per diems to help them during the national team’s inbound and outbound travels.
The decision made by the Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket, led by SLC President Mr. Shammi Silva, is indicative of the SLC’s dedication to providing equal support and value to all of our national players in all formats.
