Defending champions Vietnam clinched their spot in the 2024 AVC Challenge Cup for Women finals after defeating Australia 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-16) in the first semi-final match on Tuesday at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen topped all scorers with 24 points, including 21 attacks and three service wins.
Vietnam made a strong impression from the outset, serving perfectly and registering seven service victories in the first set. They focused the offensive on Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, who could fire from both the wing and the back row. Tran Tu Linh also assisted on the wing assault.
Meanwhile, Australia used their abilities on the front lines. They lined up and timed their blocks perfectly.
