The latest film by Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, “Mr. and Mrs. Mahi,” has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics. Her portrayal of a cricket player has particularly captivated viewers. Both fans and critics have praised Janhvi’s commitment to the part, underlining her competence and sincerity as Mahima.

Janhvi’s dedication to the part extended beyond her acting on television. The actress disclosed that she trained rigorously under the direction of Abhishek Nayar, the assistant coach for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Using the same methods he used with professional players, Nayar coached Janhvi. Janhvi and the recently retired cricketer Dinesh Karthik even went to the same training camp.
During a promotional event, Janhvi described her training regimen, saying, “My daily routine was very intense.” Even my coach stated it was more severe than his sessions with the Indian Premier League players. Her five- to six-hour daily regimen included weight training, cardio, conditioning, net sessions with KKR players, and focused cricket practise.
I used to get up early and work out in the nets with the players he had brought in for KKR. There, we would rehearse for two hours. After that, I would travel to Bandra for an hour or so of strength, conditioning, and cardio. Following that, I would go to gatherings. If there was a shoot, I would go for it, and then, once it was over, I would train at a Bandra ground for a further two hours. Thus, yes, each day’s physical training lasted for around five to six hours, Janhvi said.
