Sri Lanka and Nepal has abandoned due to rain
2024 .6.12
Tuesday’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 match between Nepal and Sri Lanka has been postponed owing to heavy rain in this area.
Details indicate that the match was abandoned without a ball being bowled since it has been raining in Lauderhill, Florida since the morning and has persisted during the scheduled times.
As a result of their earlier losses, both teams were awarded their first tournament point.
Nepal lost their opening match of the T20 World Cup 2024 to the Netherlands by six wickets.
In order to chase a small 107-run total, Nepal’s bowlers pushed the Netherlands to make difficult yards with a tight bowling display; nonetheless, the Dutch batsmen hung on to their nerves and managed to achieve the mark with just eight balls remaining.
After choosing to bat first against South Africa, Sri Lanka made a miserable beginning to their World Cup campaign when they were bowled out for a pitiful 77. After losing four wickets, South Africa managed to reach the goal with 22 balls remaining.
In their second encounter, Bangladesh was sent in to chase 125, a target that was successfully met by the latter with one over remaining in a dramatic encounter.
