The meeting on 5 September marks the last stop for athletes to earn points for the 2024 Diamond League Final.
Athletes’ final chance to accumulate points and guarantee their spot in the 2024 Diamond League Final is at the Zurich Diamond League.
The women’s pole vault competition at Zurich Main Station on September 4th kicks off the action, followed by the highly anticipated demonstration 100-meter sprint between Olympic champion and world record holder Armand “Mondo” Duplantis, an incredible pole vaulter, and the fastest 400-meter hurdler of all time, Karsten Warholm.
On September 5, a number of Paris 2024 Olympic champions will compete at the Weltklasse Zurich. Among them is Beatrice Chebet, a double Olympic gold medallist in the long-distance events for Kenya, and Sha’Carri Richardson and Julien Alfred, who will meet for the first time since the women’s 100-meter final.
The women’s pole vault will take place at Zurich Main Station at 5:30 p.m. on September 4th as the meeting’s opening event.
The remaining events will be held on September 5 in the almost 100-year-old Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich, which can hold 30,000 people normally.
On Thursday, Diamond League action gets underway in the stadium at 7:30 p.m., with the men’s shot put starting at 7:20 p.m.
