Ahead of the next series against Australia, England has made major alterations to their white-ball lineup. Jos Buttler will miss the Twenty20 International matches because of a calf injury.

Jos, the normal captain of the white-ball team, has been out of the game due to a setback in his recuperation from a calf injury that prevented him from playing in the T20 Blast. He was supposed to captain the squad after a dismal T20 World Cup campaign earlier this year, but the injury has kept him out of the series against Australia. In June, Buttler made his farewell appearance for England in the T20 World Cup semi-final matchup with India.

Though his availability is still unknown, the England management is optimistic that Buttler can recuperate in time for the five-match ODI series that comes after the T20Is.
