Buwaneka Gunathilaka won the men’s singles title in the national championship badminton tournament. It is special that he won triple championships in this tournament. Sri Lanka Badminton Association organized the tournament for the 71st time. Viren Mettasinghe lost to Buwaneka Gunathilaka in the singles final.
Ranithma Liyanage won the women’s singles title. Buneka Gunathilake and Natasha Gunasekara won the open mixed doubles title. The women’s doubles championship was won by Amanda Alvis and Azara Wijeratne. Bhuwaneka Gunathilaka and Viren Mettasinghe won the men’s doubles title.
