Kane and Olmo have the opportunity to break the tied spot in the race for the Euro 2024 Golden Boot.

The European Football Association (UEFA), which oversees football in Europe, declared that if there isn’t a clear winner from Sunday’s final between England and Spain, the Euro 2024 Golden Boot would be shared.

Six players now hold the top scoring spot: Harry Kane of England; Dani Olmo of Spain; Cody Gakpo of the Netherlands; Jamal Musiala of Germany; Ivan Schranz of Slovakia; and Georges Mikautadze of Georgia.

If Kane and Olmo score a fourth goal in the title-deciding match at the Olympiastadion Berlin, they will have the chance to win the trophy entirely.

Even though both players scored five goals in the 2020 competition, Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo prevailed over Patrik Schick of Czechia because Ronaldo had one assist to Schick’s zero.

With two goals apiece, Jude Bellingham of England and Fabian Ruiz of Spain are also contenders for the Golden Boot, but they will need to score two goals in the championship match.
