Australia’s Beth Mooney has continued to dominate the batters’ chart, holding the top spot with 769 rating points.

Ahead of the 2018 Women’s Asia Cup, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the most recent women’s T20I rankings. The rankings show notable player movements, especially from the Indian cricket squad.

There have been some remarkable rises in the ICC women’s T20I rankings for Indian players. Among the hitters’ chart’s biggest risers are opener Shafali Verma and captain Harmanpreet Kaur. After her 35-run performance, Harmanpreet jumped three spots to 12th place with 613 rating points, while Shafali advanced two spaces to 15th place with 605 rating points after scoring 27 and 18 runs in the most recent series against South Africa.

With 100 runs scored in the series, Smriti Mandhana, the star batter, continued to hold the top spot in the standings. Furthermore, in the bowlers’ rankings, spinner Radha Yadav jumped from 23rd to 15th, while Pooja Vastrakar advanced six spots to 23rd and rookie Shreyanka Patil advanced nine ranks to 60th.

With 769 rating points, Beth Mooney of Australia maintains her dominant position atop the batters’ leaderboard. In a same vein, Sophie Ecclestone of England continues to hold the top ranking among bowlers in the format with 781 rating points.

Teams are preparing for the Women’s Asia Cup, which will take place in Sri Lanka starting on July 19. Teams competing for the coveted crown in the event will face intense opposition.

Group A includes Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Nepal, and the defending winners, India. On July 19, the Women in Blue will play their first tournament matchup versus bitter rivals Pakistan. They will then play Nepal on July 23 and the United Arab Emirates on July 21. The Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla will host all of the games, making for a thrilling opening to the competition.
