According to the most recent ICC Women’s T20I rankings, Indian cricket players have improved significantly. Vice captain Smriti Mandhana moved up to number four in the batting order with 743 rating points. Mandhana’s rise was largely influenced by her historic 60-run innings against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final. Renuka Singh Thakur, a bowler, made a notable four-place jump to fifth place with 722 rating points thanks to her tournament-high seven wicket haul.

Beth Mooney of Australia and Tahlia McGrath of Australia continue to occupy the top two batting positions; Mooney has 769 points while McGrath has 762. With 746 points, Hayley Matthews of the West Indies is ranked third, demonstrating her steady performance. Laura Wolvaardt of South Africa, another strong player, continues to hold her place in the top rankings, demonstrating the spirit of competition in women’s cricket.

The captain of Sri Lanka, Chamari Athapaththu, is the most notable performer in the most recent rankings. With 705 points, he secured the sixth spot, a huge jump of three places. Athapaththu’s game-winning 61 in the Asia Cup final versus India demonstrated her extraordinary leadership and skill, and also helped her rise in the rankings.

A number of other players have advanced significantly in the most recent rankings. Muneeba Ali of Pakistan moved up six spots to take the 35th slot among T20I hitters, while Nigar Sultana of Bangladesh moved up three spaces to take the 14th spot.
