World Athletics and beIN MEDIA GROUP have reached a three-year agreement that grants the international sports, entertainment, and media conglomerate the only right to broadcast the World Athletics Championships in 24 Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) nations. Under the deal, which will continue until 2027, 12 tournaments will be shown by beIN SPORTS, the group’s main sports channels.

As part of the deal, beIN will broadcast a thrilling schedule of events, beginning in March with the World Athletics Indoor Championships Nanjing 25. The World Athletics Relays Guangzhou 25, which takes place from May 10–11, 2025, comes next. The World Athletics Championships, which will take place in Tokyo, Japan, from September 13–21, 2025, are another event that fans may anticipate.

Premier athletics events like the World Athletics Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, USA; the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Torun, Poland; the World Athletics U20 Championships in Eugene, USA; and the World Athletics Road Running Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark are among the many top-tier competitions that beIN will continue to offer in 2026. Before going back to China in 2027 for the World Athletics Road Running Championships in Yangzhou and the World Athletics Championships in Beijing, beIN will also broadcast the World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships and the World Athletics Relays in 2026.

“We are thrilled to have beIN SPORTS as our exclusive broadcaster for World Athletics Series events in the Middle East and North Africa,” stated Sebastian Coe, president of World Athletics. BeIN is well known across the world for providing high-quality sports coverage, and it can assist sports in reaching both new and current fans in important markets for us in the Middle East and Africa. For the upcoming years, we are excited to collaborate with them to bring our World Athletics Series events to the MENA area.

“Assuring the rights to the World Athletics Championships in 24 MENA countries is another important strategic accomplishment for beIN and one that furthers our commitment to offering our wide-ranging regional audience top-notch coverage of diverse sports,” stated Mohammad Al-Subaie, CEO of beIN MENA. We are now excited to collaborate with World Athletics to directly introduce the thrill of sports to both new and existing sports enthusiasts in the area.
